President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received today Borge Brande, President of the World Economic Forum, and his accompanying delegation, in the presence of Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation, Dr. Badr Abdel Aati, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs, and Eng. Hassan Al-Khatib, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade.

 

The official spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic stated that the President discussed during the meeting the development efforts exerted by Egypt, most notably projects in the infrastructure, industry and agriculture sectors, and the great investment opportunities provided by these projects.

 

In this context, the President of the World Economic Forum praised the great steps taken by Egypt in the field of economic reform and attracting investments, noting the Forum's interest in highlighting the successful Egyptian experience in this field.

 

The official spokesman added that the President stressed to the President of the Forum the importance of joint cooperation and encouraging the foreign private sector to invest in priority sectors in Egypt, most notably the sectors of industry, sustainable energy, communications, digital transformation, artificial intelligence and transportation.
