Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, delivered a speech today, during the delivery of contracts for a number of residential units in the New Alamein City, starting with welcoming the attendees, expressing that he feels extremely happy today with the start of the delivery of residential units in a number of major projects that started in the New Alamein City, such as the Towers Project, Downtown, Mazarin Project, in addition to the Latin Quarter, and the “Housing for All Egyptians” project.

In this context, the Prime Minister referred to all these different projects that witness various types of housing, which were implemented in the New Alamein City, expressing his apology for the delay in delivering these units due to the economic conditions that the world went through, and the Egyptian state was affected by them, as it was a very difficult period that began with the period of the Corona virus spread crisis, during which it was difficult to receive the electromechanical equipment that would be started, which the government had contracted for, followed by the economic crisis and currency management, which had an impact on the delay in delivering the units, but in the end we are very happy today with the start of delivering the contracts for those units today in the city.

Dr. Mostafa Madbouly said: We have previously talked about the importance of the New Alamein City, which His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, announced its launch in 2018, although work had already begun in 2017, which means that we are facing an achievement that was achieved as a result of 6 or 7 years of work, during which this area was transformed from a barren desert suffering from the problem of the presence of mines due to it being a theater of operations in World War II, to a city whose features have completely changed thanks to the development it has witnessed, which confirms that the Egyptian person is capable of doing everything no matter how difficult it is, and this is not a general statement, but rather the result of hard work over a few short years. The Prime Minister stressed that we are not building a seasonal city, but rather, as the Minister of Housing said, an integrated city, and we have a strong desire not to repeat what happened over many decades, from planning the coastal strip to be a summer resort area and tourist villages for specific categories, but rather we are building a city that has all the service areas, such as: industrial, administrative, educational, health, and other available services that make this city work throughout the year like any other city, which is what we have already begun to achieve, in addition to the fact that we have linked this city to a regional and national transportation network, through the high-speed electric train station, in addition to an airport serving the city, which makes the city a global destination for tourism, and this has been observed through a number of events taking place on the land of this charming city, and there is also a large number of foreign nationalities flocking to the northwest coast area, especially the new city of El Alamein, which makes us happy. While talking about the city and its achievements, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly touched on an important point related to the skepticism raised about the city and that it was designed for the wealthy only, and that all eyes are on the towers area, but this talk can be answered by saying that this city has all types of housing for different segments of society, such as social housing, in which the area of the housing unit is 90 meters, and the state established it for its youth everywhere, and “Housing for All Egyptians”, in which the areas range between 100 and 120 meters, pointing out that during his tour during the past two weeks, he came across a citizen who thanked the state for fulfilling his dream of providing a complete housing unit in the city in an area that provides all the required services, after he had dreamed of only one room in the New Alamein City, as an average family, as the citizen praised his obtaining this unit with high quality, and this is an example of a simple citizen, after the North Coast area, starting from Sidi Krir area, and other areas until here were the preserve of certain groups, as no one could get close to the beach, except for the residents of these villages only. The Prime Minister added: Today in the New Alamein City there is a world-class corniche available to all citizens, and there is also a public beach that has been equipped to serve citizens; whether residents of Alamein or visitors to it, which confirms that this city is available to all Egyptians. At the end of his statement, the Prime Minister confirmed the state's commitment throughout the year and until the beginning of next summer to deliver the various residential units that have been contracted to their bookers, wishing all the best to those who received their residential unit today.
