The Central Bank announced that remittances from Egyptians working abroad increased for the third month in a row during May 2024 at a rate of 73.8 (on an annual basis) to reach about $2.7 billion (compared to about $1.6 billion during May 2023).

 

Remittances increased by 26.6 compared to the immediately preceding month, April 2024, during which they recorded about $2.2 billion, following the economic reform package on March 6, 2024.
