Eng. Amin Ghoneim, Vice President of the New Urban Communities Authority for the Utilities Sector, and Follow-up of Networks and Stations Maintenance, made an inspection tour of the main drinking water purification station in the industrial zone in Obour City, to follow up on the work of raising its efficiency, accompanied by Eng. Ahmed Omran, Eng. Ahmed Ali, Assistant Vice President of the Authority, Eng. Ahmed Rashad, Head of the City Authority, and officials of the Authority, in implementation of the assignments of Eng. Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, to follow up on the field projects being implemented in the new cities.

 

 

Eng. Amin Ghoneim followed up on the implementation of the periodic maintenance program for the station components, as well as the work of raising its efficiency, with the aim of preserving the quality and quantities of water produced for neighboring cities, in addition to following up on civil works and raising the efficiency and coordination of the general site inside the station and its external surroundings, as well as the work of raising the efficiency of roads and sidewalks. He also listened to a detailed explanation of the executive position of the main water station and its future expansions.

 

Engineer Amin Ghoneim stressed that the traffic tours and field follow-ups to inspect the level of services provided in the new cities aim to assess the current situation and determine priorities, stressing the need to exert more effort to improve the level of services provided to residents. It is worth noting that the Obour Water Purification Plant is one of the largest purification plants in the Republic, and supplies some neighboring cities and areas (New Cairo City - Obour City - New Obour City - Badr City - Salam City - Nahda City).
