Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, followed up during his tour of New Mansoura City today, the status of implementing and operating services for citizens in the city, in the presence of officials from the Ministry, the New Urban Communities Authority, and the city's apparatus.

The Minister of Housing and his companions reviewed the status of the school project at Service Center (3), which was handed over with full facilities and construction to the Ministry of Education and was operated during the past academic year as an international school, in addition to coordinating with the Dakahlia Education Directorate to operate part of the school as experimental language classes - in response to the desire of the city's residents - from kindergarten to the third year of middle school for two academic years only, and coordinating with the Educational Buildings Authority to complete the construction of Mansoura Official Specialized Language School (1) on the land allocated for the Ministry of Education in the city within two years.

The city's residents' desire to provide a government primary school was also responded to, as the Vice President of the Authority for Development and Construction Sector was addressed to request that the Authority include the school on plot No. (30) at the Janna Service Center in the Third Region within the 2024/2025 fiscal year plan and for the Authority to implement it and hand it over to the competent authorities so that it can be operated as soon as possible.

The Minister of Housing also followed up on the position of the medical center at the main service center No. (3) to the Ministry of Health and Population, which was handed over and operated, and coordination is underway with the Dakahlia Health Directorate to discuss the possibility of operating the center to receive emergency cases around the clock.

As for transportation and mobility services, it was found that a temporary taxi stand was established at the main service center (1) for internal and external service, and coordination is underway with the Development and Construction Sector of the New Urban Communities Authority to support (6) cars with an amount of (4000) pounds per month for each car for a year from the Board of Trustees' account to contribute to the development process and regularity of service to and from the city. Also, 3 internal routes were identified to cover the scope of movement of citizens and visitors in the city, which are operated during two periods, a morning period and an evening period. Coordination is also underway with the Dakahlia Governorate to provide (10) cars for the Mansoura/New Mansoura route.

The Minister was briefed on the coordination status with the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade to provide places to establish outlets for selling meat and poultry at reduced prices under the (usufruct-occupancy) system, and building permits are being issued for the bakery in Service Zone (3).

Regarding the services on the New Mansoura City Corniche, the tourist walkway was implemented with 8 watchtowers, 2 public bathrooms were operated, and the lower walkway and beach services were implemented on the eastern Corniche.
